The Keele Leadership Development Programme is suitable for consultants in both acute and mental health specialties. This modular programme will benefit those who have had no previous formal leadership development, as well as those wishing to enhance their existing leadership skills.

Consultants with no previous experience of leadership development should consider both modules; those who have attended initial leadership development will benefit from the advanced module. Our staff are happy to discuss individual cases for those who are unsure which pathway is suitable for them. Each module can be taken independently. Discount available for ICS members.

This two-day residential module, delivered by Keele faculty, NHS staff and professional leadership experts, focuses on the fundamental leadership skills which you require to be effective in your role in today’s challenging healthcare environment. Sessions are themed and linked to the new Healthcare Leadership Model; through a mix of theory, self-analysis and practical work, it aims to improve your knowledge and understanding and equip you to practise confidently and effectively in a leadership role.

Advanced Module –   Tuesday 6th to Wednesday 7th June 2017

The ’Five Year Forward View’ with its emphasis on service transformation is creating significant challenges for clinical leaders; this short, focused, advanced module has been designed specifically to enable you to lead more effectively in this changing environment.
